I hope everyone is staying healthy during this coronavirus lockdown. Let’s all continue with social distancing, trying to eat healthy, and occupying our minds with reading, writing, and playing games. As a writer, I’m quite accustomed to being indoors all day and glued in a chair before my desktop. I’m lucky in that I’ve always been a homebody. I’ve always enjoyed being in my house with my fur babies and doing things I like to do, whether it’s writing or playing card games or reading or crocheting. As a matter of fact, since we’ve been advised to wear a mask if and when we travel outside our homes, I’ve crocheted my own mask. I use Heppa bag cutouts for lining inside the mask. It works great! When you go back inside your home after using the mask, simply toss the lining, wash the crocheted mask with cool, soapy water, and air dry overnight… easy-peasy!
My Current Projects
I’m pleased to tell you I’ve finally completed the self-editing process for Book 2 in my detective series featuring Det. Meshelle “Mickey” Stanislawsky. If you recall, Book 1 titled Dirty Daniel launched back in October 2019. The title for Book 2 is Nasty Nevin. I freely admit that I’ve been very lax in completing this step, but I’ve finally sent it off to my Editor, and I hope to have all the final edits done by the end of next month. At that time, I plan to have the cover design to show you (in the next Newsletter). In the meantime, I’m starting Book 3, the final volume in my detective trilogy, next week.
Pink Lemonade Peeps Vodka
Let’s celebrate Easter with a refreshing cocktail: Pink Lemonade Peeps VodkaPlace the Peeps and Vodka in a glass container and let them soak overnight.Note: If you’re making more than one glass, use a bigger container (like a quart mason jar) or bowl and add however many Peeps you need for each 1/2 cup of Vodka. When ready to mix the cocktails, pour 1 cup of pink lemonade into a glass followed by 1/2 cup Vodka infused with Peeps. For garnish, use a fresh Peep or a vodka-infused one
Thank you for your continued encouragement and for enjoying the crazy, kooky, twisted characters that inhabit all of my stories. I would like to ask you again to consider leaving a review wherever you get my books. Reviews really are a major way to get the attention of advertisers and those who might be on the lookout for a new film project!
